Some Smithsonian Folkways interns and staff gathered in Arlington last weekend to bid farewell to our man Kevin, who’s wrapping up a year-long internship. We were instructed to bring vegetable side dishes and instruments.

Here’s what it sounds like when a bunch of American folk music nerds hang out in one room away from the office. Featuring Kevin Parme, Jackson Sinnenberg, Dave Van Dusen and David Horgan on guitar, Anders Fahey on banjo, Jonathan Newton on cello and Dan Bullard on piano (and the girls sang some backup):

So happy I get to keep working here! But it will be a quieter place without Kevin.
